DM Technologies, LLC (DMT) is a company chartered for the development and manufacture of conformal coated tantalum chip capacitors.

DMT is the only U.S. based manufacturer of tantalum conformal coated chips and is one of only two coated chip suppliers to the U.S. defense industry. We are an ITAR registered company.

DMT was founded by Daniel Johnson and Michael Burke; both have twenty plus years of experience in the tantalum capacitor industry in engineering, manufacturing and marketing roles. The company is located in Sanford, Maine which had been a major manufacturing location of tantalum capacitors for decades.

The founders strongly believe that "innovative technologies" will provide customers with competitive solutions. Investments in equipment and processes have been made in advanced technologies in order to provide the customer with superior product in terms of performance, quality and reliability.

As an example, we have submitted a first patent application for a fused conformal coated chip capacitor.

DMT has implemented an innovative, automated robotics based manufacturing process which enables DMT to be competitive as a U.S. based manufacturer and supports the founders' efforts to create jobs in the State of Maine. We are directly aligned with the "Robotics and Automation Research Priorities for U.S. Manufacturing" plan introduced in May 2009.
